Launched in 2018, the Support4Families Program focuses on helping families affected by addiction, providing scholarships and activities for children and teens directly impacted by the disease. Special emphasis is placed on supporting women with children, ensuring that families can remain connected and resilient during their recovery journey. This program is designed to alleviate some of the emotional and financial burdens that addiction places on families, allowing them to focus on healing and unity.
Addiction affects more than just the individual—it can have a lasting impact on families, particularly children and teens. By offering activities and scholarships through Support4Families, we aim to provide opportunities for families to bond and heal together. Supporting women with children is especially critical, as mothers in recovery often face unique challenges that require a strong support network. Our goal is to foster family togetherness and ensure that parents stay connected to their recovery communities while maintaining strong, healthy relationships with their children.
Our program relies on the generous support of our community and partners, including Contra Costa County, John Muir Health, and the Bella Vista League, who help fund scholarships and programs that empower families to heal and thrive together. These partnerships enable us to expand the reach and impact of the Support4Families program, creating a lasting difference for those affected by addiction.
Through scholarships and sponsored activities, Support4Families offers direct assistance to children and teens impacted by addiction. By giving them the opportunity to participate in enriching activities, we help provide a sense of normalcy, stability, and joy during a challenging time. Parents in recovery are also given the chance to stay engaged in their recovery community while knowing their children are being supported.
You can make a real difference in the lives of families impacted by addiction. Whether through donations, partnerships, or participating in our S4R 2021/2022 Needs Assessment Survey, your support helps us grow the Support4Families program and provide critical resources to families in need. Together, we can help parents and children rebuild their lives and create stronger, healthier futures.
